January’s Block of the Month is based on the traditional “Tree of Life” pattern. It has a long history of various meanings among many different cultures: a symbol of our connection to our ancestors and to family, our individual uniqueness, our strength, a symbol of rebirth and new beginnings, etc. Thank you to Peggy who took this photo of a barn quilt on a driving tour of Prince Edward County last summer.
For members of Block of the Month, your pattern will be emailed to you on Monday January 25th. BOM patterns are available to Guild members only.
We will be setting aside a special show and tell at our February meeting just for Block of the Month. Take some photos of your blocks and have them ready to send next month.
To join the Block of the Month, send me an email at lanarkcountyquilters@gmail.com
