About the Event

Sashiko, meaning ‘little stab’ is the Japanese art of stitching beautiful patterns using running stitch. Often used to add strength, texture and warmth to old garments, Sashiko has become synonymous with complex repeating patterns and precise stitching.

Join our 3-hour afternoon online workshop and learn Hitomezashi Sashiko (one-stitch sashiko) from Seattle-based quilt instructors Sharron Roudhán and Jason Bowlsby, https://www.shannonandjason.com. Hitomezashi Sashiko is where the patterns are stitched to a grid. They are characterised by a series of  running stitches of even size where the stitches typically touch each other to form solid or woven shapes.

Make sure to RSVP.  However, your registration is not guaranteed until payment is received.

Cost: $75 for members; $85 for non-members.

Payment may be made by e-transfer (lcqgfinance {at} gmail.com), credit card (via Square, click HERE), cheque or cash (hand delivered to 54A North St, Perth).
