The charity quilt is finished and ready to donate it.
There were many hands that helped put this beautiful quilt together. Mary and I would like to thank everyone who attended the work party to cut, sew, rip out seems, measure, trim, quilt and sew the binding on. “Many hands make light work.”
The executive voted to donate this quilt to the IODE (Imperial Order of the Daughters’ of the Empire) in Carleton Place. This group has 35 women ranging in age from 40 to 104. They raise funds to help people in Lanark County. Some of their benefactors are Interval House, local hospitals, the snowsuit fund, Big Brothers/Sisters and the Lanark County Food Banks.
This energetic group looks forward to raffling this quilt and helping support Lanark County.~ Nancy
