Welcome back for the October in-person meeting. What an awesome night! Our Shop of the Month was Artistic Quilts with Color. Lots of patterns and kits of Laura Heine collage. Her store also carries By Annie bag patterns, Funky Friends Factory patterns and kits, and lots of fabric. I see a road trip coming.
The second month for Block of the Month was Bees, 4 of them. I enjoyed doing these, some piecing and paper piecing. Can't wait to do more.
Our Challenge is an IMPROV PIECE. No rulers, maximum 60" x 60". Let your imagination soar!. To get members excited, there was a workshop same day as the meeting, and some of the results were shown at the meeting.
Our Trunk Show was presented by Monika Henry of Penny Spool Quilts with her modern, fuss free designs. She had also brought patterns for sale. I bought the one with her alphabet, cool design.
We were also asked to bring an item for the Food Bank to the November meeting. A list of needs will be sent out before the meeting.
There were new books in the Library, workshops to sign up for, and a QT Xmas get together to sign up for as well. I'm looking forward to that. See you in November. Cathy.
