September Show & Tell
Welcome back everyone to a brand new year for us, after the summer off. I hope everyone enjoyed their summer and have started making projects for this year's QOTT Quilt Show in July 2027. More information will come later.
I walked in a little after 6 pm to a flurry of activity. I got signed in, and headed over to see the new Block of the Month. You know I love doing that. It's very cool and small. 16 individual blocks, 3" finished, and you make 2 of each. It definitely looks like something
everyone can enjoy. I'm looking forward to starting.
Our Guest Speaker tonight, Sharon Galna, had a wonderful presentation. Lots of bright colours and funky patterns. I thoroughly enjoyed myself, and I'm positive everyone else did. She was funny and interesting and you can find her at https://quiltishcorner.com She has a blog and lots of videos as well.
We were informed tonight that Membership Renewal is in full progress and you will have until October 31, 2026 to renew, before the new Directory comes out in November.
Our Shop of the Month tonight was ByTowne Threads, very popular with the members.
We will have a return of the Sew Days, a chance to get together once a month, to get to know each other, and do a little handwork. It will be held the first Monday of the Month, and the first one is October 5th, 2026, from 10am to 2pm. This one will be at Glad Tidings Pentecostal Church.
Next month we will hear the details regarding this year's Guild Challenge. I think we will be doing those Don't Touch the Quilts pieces that we have seen at other shows.
We had 30 quilts/bags in our Show & Tell tonight. We certainly have a lot of talent in our Guild.
