November 2021 Show & Tell

From king size quilts, to sewing with miniature squares, from knapsacks, bags, hand sewn applique and wool applique, guild members have been busy!

Evelyne Michaud: I made this quilt from nov 2020 to march 2021. It is a king size. I liked the contrast between the light and the dark squares. Janice just finished quilting it, so it does not have the binding on it yet.

Hawaiian quilting with Sue Sherman. I’ve just started the actual quilting. I enjoyed her classes and style of presentation.Judy Pattinson:

Kathy Smallwood: For cousin Bernie and his 3 kids

Kathy Smallwood: For cousin Rick, his daughter and his two granddaughters

Rosemary Lay: This quilt was a quilt along with “The Quilt Show”. The pattern is a Long Time Gone by Jen Kingwell. I thought the busyness of the pattern would be perfect to cover my couch for by dog. It was a great pattern to learn different techniques.

Cathy Price: This is a baby quilt I made for a customer. I love the animals in bed theme

Marilyn Lockyer: The multiple flying geese quilt is called Kennesaw Mountain, made and quilted by Marilyn.

Marilyn Lockyer: Blue and white quilt is a Libs Elliott pattern called Just Like Heaven, quilted by Donna Greene.

Jane Burke: Lots of wool appliqué and embroidery this year.

Judy Pattinson: Mystery quilt through the Guild last year. Quilted by Gail Bury of Stone Road Quilting. Gifted to a young man going through chemo.

Marlene Starkman: This is a bag I made for a friend’s 70th birthday. It’s Crescent Tote by Noodlehead, and I used cotton canvas from Cotton & Steel.

Sandra Blair: Three baby quilts I made and quilted for the Heart to Heart group.  I didn’t notice until the last quilt was completed that the animals are wearing masks lol

Evelyne Michaud: In the summer I made this pack bag for my granddaughter. It is the most difficult thing I ever sewn! I gave up on it several time, but finally finished it! Then my grandson asked me for one too! The second one was easier to make.

Judy Pattinson: A top ready for the Perth and Smiths Falls Hospital.

Evelyne Michaud: A friend who moved to BC asked me to make her a quilt. She liked this pattern of mine. Here is her quilt in her home in BC. It was quilted by Carol Darou.
