Save the Date! Join us for our Virtual “QT”

Quilt Time 2018, Lanark County Quilters Guild

Just because we can’t meet in person doesn’t mean our traditions have to be forgotten.

So join us December 15 at 7 p.m. for a ZOOM virtual “QT” or Quilt-Time! Pull out your embroidery, knitting, hand sewing, applique or needlework and sit around the computer with your friends.

We’re planning a fun-filled evening of games and giveaways.

Meet Michelle from Funky Monkey Fabrics as our December Shop of the Month. She’ll have a door prize as well as a discount for Guild members.

We’ll have break out rooms for socializing and tips and tricks.

Holiday Placemats

And as is our custom, we’re asking for a bit of sewing ahead of time. The holidays can be a challenging time for many; the pandemic is certainly adding a level of stress this year. The Guild has joined with the Lanark County Meals on Wheels to provide a bit of cheer—a bright, lovely, handmade placemat for 300 patrons who have their meal delivered over the Christmas week! Make one, make more!

We’re asking members to sew up at least one holiday placemat—size, design, shape of your choice. Send a high resolution picture of your creation to lanarkcountyquilters@gmail.com no later than Saturday, Dec 12and we’ll do a special Placemat Show & Tell during the meeting.

Did we mention prizes—for 3 winners (randomly selected.) Threads, patterns and fabric!

Then after the meeting we ask that you drop off your placemats at our treasurer Jill Nolan’s office at 54A North Street in Perth. There will be a box inside her front door. Jill has arranged to deliver the placemats to Meals on Wheels for Monday, Dec 21.

Be part of our community. “QT” continues.
