April Show & Tell

WOW! This year has been flying by. We just had our April meeting, only 2 more until our Summer break.

Our Shop of the Month and our Program tonight were the same people, UPPER CANADA QUILTWORKS, with Nellie Holmes and Christine Baker.  They have been designing patterns for over 25 years.  What a wonderful presentation and loads of wool and kits to purchase. I know my sister was happy lol.

Block of the Month presented the last Bug, The Beetle, but one more block to go.  The tester got her whole top finished. I'm jealous.  Looking forward to getting mine together. I love this quilt, and thanks to Alexis for designing it.

We also had the reveal of the Member Guild Challenge on "What Canada Means to Me".  We had 3 pieces and Linda Magee won the Viewer's Choice privilege of getting her piece to travel to Quilt Canada in Winnipeg for June 2026.

We were reminded that next month is our AGM, yearly business meeting, as well as the Stash Sale, and IMPROV Guild Challenge due date. I'm glad I finished mine a while ago.

I hope everyone signed up to have a piece in our new Calendar and Note Cards.  Kim will notify us when the photos are happening.

The Spring Retreat was a huge success, and the dates are already set for the Fall Retreat. Get your names on the list.

As always, a great meeting.  Looking forward to the next one. See you there. Cathy
