March 2016 Meeting Review

The Past President is looking for positions to fill, please volunteer.  Our Guild is what you make it.  We have two members accepted into the CQA juried show in Mississauga, Ont., Anita Payne for her quilt “From the World to Canada” and Carol Darou for “My Rustic Garden”.  Only two months to go and your Alphabet Challenge will be due in May 2016.  There were a total of 17 Sensory or Fidget Quilts made for donation, seven distributed to Fairview in Almonte and 10 went to Lanark Lodge in Perth.  We still have room for the Spring Retreat, thirteen so far and room for 20-25 quilters.  The Workshop with Al Cote was awesome.  The class was full with lots of projects to be brought in at a future date.
