A Wonderful Start to the Guild Year + September Show & Tell!

Tuesday, Sept 26 was the start of a brand new year of fun with the Lanark County Quilters Guild, with 80 members, including 12 new members, plus 3 guests.

We had Upper Canada Quiltworks as our Shop of the Month. We are starting a new Block of the Month program. Our Library had loads of books to look at and take out, and new ones as well. Our Program was very informative tonight, with 5 mini-demonstrations given by members, 10 minutes each. Heather showed us how to incorporate a flange into our binding, and Josee talked about taking your quilt to a Long-armer, and what the requirements are. Rosalie showed us a Twister block and templates, with lots of examples. Sue talked about taking the bulk out of your seams, and how to avoid it, and Mary talked about free motion quilting, which a few members were scared of doing.

We always love seeing what our members do, with Show & Tell. Another successful evening, looking forward to next month.
